Dosage (summary)

1 tablet every 12 hours at the start of a meal for adults.

Special Populations

  • Impaired renal function
  • Impaired hepatic function

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety in pregnancy not established; caution in lactation due to potential infant effects.

Key Drug Interactions

  • Probenecid may increase amoxicillin levels
  • May reduce efficacy of oral contraceptives

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to penicillins
  • History of jaundice/hepatic dysfunction with amoxicillin/clavulanic acid
