Indication
Treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
Dosage (summary)
One drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily; may increase to three times daily if needed.

- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
Key Drug Interactions
- Oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors
- CYP3A4 inhibitors
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Severe renal impairment
- Hyperchloraemic acidosis
- Concomitant therapy with oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors
Common side effects
- Taste perversion
- Temporary blurred vision
- Ocular discomfort
- Dry eye
Counselling Points
- Avoid contact with the eye tip
- Remove contact lenses before use
- Wait 15 minutes before reinserting contact lenses
Serious warnings
- Serious hypersensitivity reactions possible
- Not studied in hepatic impairment
- Potential for additive effects with oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors
