Dosage (summary)

Adults: 1-2 g once daily; severe cases: up to 4 g once daily.

Special Populations

  • Elderly

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety in pregnancy not established; excreted in breast milk, caution advised.

  • Hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone
  • Premature neonates
  • Full-term neonates with hyperbilirubinaemia
