Indication

Dosage (summary)
Adults: 1 g once daily; Children 3 months-12 years: 15 mg/kg twice daily (max 1 g/day).

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ertapenem
- Hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics
- Known bacterial meningitis
- Infants under 3 months

- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
- Headache
- Infused vein complication
