Indication

Dosage (summary)
5 mg once daily, preferably in the evening.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset of action within 1 hour, with a duration of up to 24 hours.
Special Populations
- Elderly patients
- Patients with renal impairment
- Patients with hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Levocetirizine is excreted in breast milk; caution is advised when administered to nursing mothers.
Key Drug Interactions
- Alcohol may enhance the sedative effect.
- Caution with other CNS depressants.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine or any of its components.
- Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 10 mL/min).
