Dosage (summary)
Adults: 20 mg once daily for duodenal ulcer; 10-40 mg for prevention; 20 mg for gastric ulcer/reflux.

- Clopidogrel
- Warfarin
- Digoxin
- Nelfinavir
- Atazanavir
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to omeprazole
- Concomitant use with nelfinavir
Common side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Constipation
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
Counselling Points
- Take in the morning, swallow whole
- Avoid alcohol
- Monitor for signs of hypomagnesaemia
Serious warnings
- Increased risk of bone fractures
- Severe hypomagnesaemia
- Acute Tubulointerstitial Nephritis
