Indication

Dosage (summary)
Initial dose: 40 mg IM every 4 weeks; may increase to 60 mg if needed.
Special Populations
- Elderly patients
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding; potential reproductive toxicity.

- Ciclosporin
- QT prolonging medications
- Bradycardic medications
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to pasireotide
- Severe hepatic impairment (Child Pugh C)
Common side effects
- Hyperglycaemia
- Diarrhoea
- Cholelithiasis
- Fatigue

- Monitor blood glucose regularly.
- Report signs of liver dysfunction.
- Use contraception if of childbearing potential.

- Risk of hyperglycaemia and ketoacidosis
