Adco-Combineb Inhalant Solution

Indication

Management of bronchospasm in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.

Dosage (summary)

Inhale 1 to 2 puffs (0.5 mg Ipratropium Bromide and 2.5 mg Salbutamol) via nebulizer or metered-dose inhaler as needed, not exceeding 12 puffs per day.

Onset of Action / Duration

Onset of action within 15 minutes, peak effect in 1 to 2 hours, duration of action approximately 4 to 6 hours.

Special Populations

• Elderly patients
• Patients with renal impairment
• Patients with hepatic impairment

Key Drug Interactions

• Beta-blockers may reduce the effectiveness of Salbutamol.
• Anticholinergic drugs may enhance the effects of Ipratropium Bromide.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to Ipratropium Bromide, Salbutamol, or any component of the formulation.
• Patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to atropine or its derivatives.

Counselling Points

• Instruct patients on the proper use of inhalation devices.
• Advise to rinse mouth after use to minimize dry mouth.
