Indication

Management of moderate to severe pain and as an adjunct in the treatment of anxiety.

Dosage (summary)

Adults: 1-2 tablets every 6 hours as needed, not to exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. Children: Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional.

Onset of Action / Duration

Analgesic effect typically begins within 30 minutes and may last for 4-6 hours.

Special Populations

• Elderly patients may require dose adjustment due to increased sensitivity.
• Patients with hepatic or renal impairment should use with caution.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Codeine is excreted in breast milk; caution is advised when administered to nursing mothers.
