Indication

Dosage (summary)
Initial dose of 10 mg once daily; may be titrated based on blood pressure response.
Onset of Action / Duration
Antihypertensive effect typically observed within 1 hour, with peak effect at 6-8 hours; duration of action is approximately 24 hours.
Special Populations
- Elderly patients
- Patients with renal impairment
- Patients with hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated during pregnancy; use with caution during lactation as it may be excreted in breast milk.
Key Drug Interactions
- Potassium-sparing diuretics may increase the risk of hyperkalemia.
- NSAIDs may reduce the antihypertensive effect of Lisinopril.
- Other antihypertensive agents may have additive effects.
Contraindications
- History of angioedema related to previous treatment with ACE inhibitors.
- Pregnancy.
- Severe renal impairment.
