Dosage (summary)
Loading: 1.0 mcg/kg over 10 mins; Maintenance: 0.2-0.7 mcg/kg/hr.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended in pregnancy; excreted in breast milk.

- Bradycardia
- Nausea
- Dry mouth
- Hypoxia

- Avoid driving after sedation
- Monitor for irritability in breastfed infants

- Continuous monitoring required
- Risk of respiratory depression
- Not suitable for general anaesthesia induction
