Indication
Antacid.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 10-20 ml 3-4 times daily; Children >2 years: 5-10 ml 3-4 times daily.

- Children under 2 years
- Renal impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established; contains benzyl alcohol.

- Hypersensitivity
- Prostatic enlargement
- Paralytic ileus
- Severe ulcerative colitis
- Myasthenia gravis
- Glaucoma
- Renal failure
- Obstructive uropathy
- Thyrotoxicosis
- Cardiac failure
Common side effects
- Hypersensitivity
- Blurred vision
- Tachycardia
- Dry mouth
- Constipation
- Diarrhoea

- Avoid driving if affected
- Do not exceed recommended dosage
- Monitor for allergic reactions
Serious warnings
- Use with caution in tachycardia
- Risk of metabolic acidosis in young children
- Potential for neurological impairment in renal impairment
