    Dosage (summary)

    200 mg to 600 mg every 6 to 8 hours as needed, not exceeding 2400 mg per day.

    Onset of Action / Duration

    Effects typically begin within 30 minutes to 1 hour after oral administration.

    Special Populations

    • Elderly patients may require dose adjustment.
    • Patients with renal impairment should use with caution.
    • Patients with hepatic impairment should use with caution.

    Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

    Use during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, is not recommended. Ibuprofen is excreted in breast milk; consult a healthcare provider before use while breastfeeding.

    Key Drug Interactions

    • May increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when used with anticoagulants.
