    Cattle: 1 mg/kg/day for 3-5 days; Pigs: 3 mg/kg/day for 3 days.

    Safety not established in pregnant/lactating animals; use based on risk assessment.

    Key Drug Interactions

    • Antagonized by bacteriostatic antibiotics (macrolides, sulfonamides, tetracyclines)

    Contraindications

    • Hypersensitivity to ceftiofur or beta-lactams
    • Do not inject intravenously
    • Not for use in poultry
