Indication
Active immunisation to prevent COVID-19 in children aged 5 to 11 years.
Dosage (summary)
2 doses of 0.2 mL each, 3 weeks apart; a third dose for severely immunocompromised at least 28 days after the second.
Special Populations
- Severely immunocompromised
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding; no adverse effects expected.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to vaccine components
Common side effects
- Injection site pain
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Myalgia
- Chills
Counselling Points
- Monitor for 15 mins post-vaccination
- Report any chest pain or shortness of breath
- Do not mix with other vaccines
Serious warnings
- Risk of anaphylaxis
- Increased risk of myocarditis and pericarditis
