Indication

Active immunisation to prevent COVID-19 in children aged 5 to 11 years.

Dosage (summary)

2 doses of 0.2 mL each, 3 weeks apart; a third dose for severely immunocompromised at least 28 days after the second.

Special Populations

  • Severely immunocompromised

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding; no adverse effects expected.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to vaccine components

Common side effects

  • Injection site pain
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Myalgia
  • Chills

Counselling Points

  • Monitor for 15 mins post-vaccination
  • Report any chest pain or shortness of breath
  • Do not mix with other vaccines

Serious warnings

  • Risk of anaphylaxis
  • Increased risk of myocarditis and pericarditis
