Indication
Temporary relief of pain and discomfort in sore throats and minor mouth irritations.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 15-30 mL gargle or 4-8 sprays; Children 6-12 years: 5-15 mL gargle or 2-4 sprays.
Special Populations
- Children under 2 years
- Patients with phenylketonuria
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to local anaesthetics or ingredients
Common side effects
- Allergic reactions
- Irritation of conjunctiva
- Local skin sensitivity
- Taste disturbances
Counselling Points
- Rinse mouth after use
- May alter taste of food
- Do not exceed recommended dose
Serious warnings
- Do not swallow
- May cause methaemoglobinaemia in infants
