Dosage (summary)
Adults: 100 mg twice daily on day 1, then 100 mg daily.

- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
- Elderly
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation due to risk of teeth discoloration.
Key Drug Interactions
- Diminished absorption with milk and antacids
- May increase anticoagulant effects
- Decreased effectiveness of oral contraceptives

- Hypersensitivity to doxycycline
- Pregnancy
- Lactation
- Children under 12 years
- Systemic lupus erythematosus
