Indication

Symptomatic relief of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty arthritis, acute pain, primary dysmenorrhoea, and post-operative dental pain.

Dosage (summary)

OA: 30-60 mg once daily; RA/AS: 60-90 mg once daily; Acute pain: 90-120 mg once daily for max 8 days; Gout: 120 mg once daily for max 8 days.

• Hepatic impairment
• Renal impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation; may cause fetal renal dysfunction.

• Severe hepatic dysfunction
• Severe renal impairment
• Active peptic ulceration
• Uncontrolled hypertension

Counselling Points

• Take with or without food.
• Monitor blood pressure regularly.
• Report any signs of skin rash or hypersensitivity.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
