Indication

Dosage (summary)
150 mg daily for NSCLC and bronchial adenocarcinoma; 100 mg daily with gemcitabine for pancreatic cancer.
Special Populations
- Hepatic impairment
- Renal impairment
- Smokers
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Avoid pregnancy; not recommended during breastfeeding.
Key Drug Interactions
- CYP3A4 inducers/inhibitors
- Warfarin
- Statins
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to erlotinib
Common side effects
- Rash
- Diarrhoea
- Fatigue
- Anorexia
Counselling Points
- Take at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after food
- Monitor for severe diarrhoea
- Advise against smoking

- Interstitial lung disease
- Gastrointestinal perforation
- Hepatic failure
