Indication
Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Dosage (summary)
One 180 mg tablet daily for CIU; One 120 mg tablet daily for SAR.
Onset of Action / Duration
Onset: 1 hour, Duration: 24 hours

- Elderly
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established; do not breastfeed.
Key Drug Interactions
- Erythromycin
- Ketoconazole
- Aluminium and magnesium hydroxide antacids
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to fexofenadine or ingredients
- Children under 12 years
Common side effects
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Drowsiness
- Nausea
- Sinusitis
Counselling Points
- Avoid alcohol and CNS depressants
- Determine individual response before driving
- Report any hypersensitivity reactions
Serious warnings
- Exacerbation of psoriasis
- Caution in cardiovascular disease
