Indication

Dosage (summary)

400 mg every 12 hours for 3 days (uncomplicated) or 7-10 days (complicated).

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Elderly

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

  • Warfarin
  • Ciclosporin
  • NSAIDs
  • Antacids
  • Nitrofurantoin

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to norfloxacin
  • Creatinine clearance <30 ml/min
  • Children <18 years
  • Pregnancy
  • Lactation

  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Photosensitivity
  • Hypoglycaemia

  • Take on an empty stomach
  • Avoid sun exposure
  • Monitor blood glucose in diabetics
