Indication

Gastric reflux, reflux oesophagitis, heartburn, and indigestion.

Dosage (summary)

Adults: 10-20 ml after meals and at bedtime, up to 4 times daily. Children >12 years: on medical advice.

Special Populations

  • Elderly: no modifications
  • Hepatic impairment: no modifications
  • Renal insufficiency: caution

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

No malformative effects in pregnancy; safe during breastfeeding.

Key Drug Interactions

  • May affect absorption of other oral medicines
  • Caution with thiazide diuretics and vitamin D

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to ingredients
  • Moderate or severe renal insufficiency

Common side effects

  • Anaphylactic reaction
  • Hypersensitivity reactions
  • Alkalosis
  • Hypercalcaemia
  • Stomach cramps

  • Shake well before use
