Indication
Diarrhoea associated with antibiotic therapy and non-specific acute diarrhoea.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 2 capsules twice daily for antibiotic-associated diarrhoea; 1 capsule twice daily for non-specific diarrhoea.

Not established; preferable to avoid during pregnancy and lactation.

- Oral or systemic antifungals

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Central venous catheter
- Critically ill or immunocompromised patients
- Lactose intolerance
Common side effects
- Flatulence
- Constipation
- Allergic reactions
Counselling Points
- Take with water
- Do not mix with hot liquids or alcohol
- Rehydration recommended for diarrhoea
Serious warnings
- Risk of fungaemia in immunocompromised patients
- Do not open capsules near patients with catheters
