Indication

Anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment in horses, cattle, and pigs.

Dosage (summary)

Horses: 2.2 mg/kg daily for 3-5 days. Cattle: 3 mg/kg daily for 1-3 days. Pigs: 3 mg/kg as a single injection.

Special Populations

  • Not for foals <15 days old

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Not for pregnant mares; safe in pregnant/lactating cattle and sows.

Key Drug Interactions

  • Do not mix with other NSAIDs
  • Avoid diuretics and anticoagulants

Contraindications

  • Gastro-duodenal ulcers
  • Severe renal insufficiency
  • Bleeding tendency
  • Previous allergy to ketoprofen

Common side effects

  • Gastro-intestinal ulceration
  • Nephrotoxicity
