- Fluoroquinolones may precipitate acute kidney injury
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to losartan
- History of angio-oedema
- Severe renal impairment
- Severe hepatic impairment
- Bilateral renal artery stenosis
Common side effects
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Hypotension
- Hyperkalaemia

- Monitor blood pressure regularly
- Avoid potassium supplements
- Use contraception if of childbearing age
Serious warnings
- Risk of renal failure in susceptible individuals
- Symptomatic hypotension may occur
