    Indication

    Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate dementia in Alzheimeru2019s disease.

    Dosage (summary)

    Adults/elderly: Start at 5 mg once daily, may increase to 10 mg after 4-6 weeks.

    Special Populations

    • Renal impairment
    • Hepatic impairment

    Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

    Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

    Key Drug Interactions

    • CYP3A4 inhibitors
    • CYP2D6 inhibitors
    • NSAIDs

    Contraindications

    • Hypersensitivity to donepezil
    • Pregnancy
    • Lactation
    • Children
    • Post-surgery recovery

    Common side effects

    • Diarrhoea
    • Muscle cramps
    • Fatigue
    • Nausea
    • Vomiting
