    Dosage (summary)

    One tablet daily, starting on day 1 of the menstrual cycle.

    Special Populations

    • Adolescents
    • Diabetic patients

    Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

    Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

    Key Drug Interactions

    • CYP3A4 inducers
    • CYP3A4 inhibitors

    Contraindications

    • Hypersensitivity to dienogest
    • Pregnancy
    • Breastfeeding
    • Venous thromboembolic disorder
    • Cardiovascular diseases
    • Severe hepatic disease
    • Sex hormone-dependent malignancies
    • Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding

    Common side effects

    • Headache
    • Breast discomfort
    • Depressed mood
    • Acne

    Counselling Points

    • Take at the same time daily
    • Use non-hormonal contraception if needed
