- Hypersensitivity to eplerenone
- Serum potassium > 5.0 mmol/L
- Severe renal insufficiency
- Severe hepatic insufficiency
- Combination with ACE inhibitors and ARBs

- Dizziness
- Insomnia
- Hypotension
- Diarrhoea
