Indication
Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy for seizures in epilepsy.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: Start at 250 mg twice daily, increase to 500 mg after 2 weeks; max 1500 mg twice daily. Children >12: 500 mg twice daily, max 3000 mg.

- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation; not recommended during breastfeeding.
