Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

- Diuretics may increase risk of dehydration
- Insulin may require dose adjustment

- Type 1 diabetes
- Moderate to severe renal impairment
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- History of pancreatitis

- Genital infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Hypoglycaemia (with insulin/sulfonylureas)
- Dizziness

- Monitor for signs of ketoacidosis

- Report any genital or urinary symptoms
Serious warnings
- Risk of diabetic ketoacidosis
- Volume depletion
- Necrotising fasciitis of the perineum
