Indication

Short-term treatment of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis symptoms.

Dosage (summary)

One drop in each affected eye twice daily.

Onset of Action / Duration

Onset: 2 hours, Duration: at least 8 hours

Special Populations

  • Elderly
  • Hepatic impairment
  • Renal impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Not established as safe in pregnancy or lactation.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to epinastine or excipients

Common side effects

  • Burning sensation in eye
  • Eye irritation
  • Headache

Counselling Points

  • Do not wear contact lenses during use
  • Wait 15 mins after instillation before inserting lenses
  • May cause transient blurring of vision

Serious warnings

  • Topical use only
  • Contains benzalkonium chloride
  • Caution with prolonged use
