Indication

Dosage (summary)
Adults: 0.5-1.0 u03bcg/kg/min continuous infusion; initial bolus 1 u03bcg/kg over 30 seconds.

Onset: 1-2 mins, Duration: 5-10 mins
Special Populations
- Elderly: reduce initial dose by 50%
- Renal impairment: no dosage adjustment needed
- Hepatic impairment: monitor closely
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established; crosses placenta and appears in breast milk.

- Increased risk of respiratory depression with benzodiazepines
