- Atazanavir
- Nelfinavir
- Clopidogrel
- Warfarin
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole
- Concomitant use with atazanavir or nelfinavir
Common side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
Counselling Points
- Do not exceed recommended duration of treatment.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist after 2 weeks.
- Monitor for signs of gastrointestinal infections.
Serious warnings
- Risk of Clostridium difficile infection
- Risk of acute interstitial nephritis
- Increased risk of fractures in elderly
