20 mg once daily for duodenal ulcer; 10-40 mg for prevention of relapse.

- Clopidogrel
- Nelfinavir
- Atazanavir
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to omeprazole
- Concomitant use with nelfinavir
Common side effects
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Constipation
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
Counselling Points
- Take in the morning with water
- Do not chew or crush capsules
- Report any unusual symptoms
Serious warnings
- Risk of gastric malignancy
- Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea
- Acute interstitial nephritis
