Dosage (summary)
Adults: 250 mg four times daily; may double in severe infections.
Special Populations
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

- Probenecid
- Methotrexate
- Warfarin
- Paracetamol
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to flucloxacillin
- Previous flucloxacillin associated jaundice
Common side effects
- Neutropenia
- Thrombocytopenia
- Rash
- Minor gastrointestinal disturbances
Counselling Points
- Take 1 hour before meals
- Monitor for hypersensitivity reactions
- Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding

- Risk of anaphylaxis
- Hepatic reactions
- AGEP
