Indication
Treatment of depression and mixed anxiety and depression.
Dosage (summary)
Adults: 150 mg/day initially, increase to 300-400 mg/day; max 600 mg/day for hospitalized patients.
Special Populations
- Elderly: starting dose 100 mg/day
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Use in pregnancy should be avoided; contraindicated in breastfeeding.

- MAOIs
- CYP3A4 inhibitors
- Alcohol
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to trazodone
- Concurrent use with other psychotropic medicines
- Acute myocardial infarction
