Indication

Dosage (summary)
One tablet orally, once daily.
Special Populations
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not recommended during pregnancy; potential risk of neural tube defects. Not for breastfeeding.
Key Drug Interactions
- Rifampicin decreases dolutegravir levels
- Metformin contraindicated
- Dofetilide and pilsicainide contraindicated
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Uncontrolled renal failure
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Women of child-bearing age not using contraception
Common side effects
- Nausea
- Diarrhoea
- Headache
- Rash
Counselling Points
- Monitor for signs of lactic acidosis
- Use effective contraception
- Do not breastfeed while on treatment
Serious warnings
- Lactic acidosis and severe hepatomegaly
- Risk of opportunistic infections
- Immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome
