40 mg/kg body mass once or 20 mg/kg twice on a single day.
Special Populations
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Not established for pregnancy; breastfeeding should be discontinued for treatment duration and 24 hours after.
Key Drug Interactions
- Strong inducers of Cytochrome P450 (e.g., rifampicin)
- Chloroquine
- Grapefruit juice
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to praziquantel
- First trimester of pregnancy
- Ocular cysticercosis
