Indication
Treatment of infections caused by amoxicillin-resistant organisms.
Dosage (summary)
Children 2-12 years: 25-50 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 hours.
Special Populations
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Use in pregnancy not established; avoid breastfeeding due to potential infant sensitization.
Key Drug Interactions
- May reduce efficacy of oral contraceptives
- Increased rash with allopurinol
- Tetracyclines may interfere with effects
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins
- History of jaundice/hepatic dysfunction with amoxicillin/clavulanic acid

- Nausea
- Diarrhoea
- Skin rash
- Dizziness
