100 mL (500 mg) IV every 8 hours for treatment; same dose for prevention before and after surgery.

- Nausea

- Peripheral neuropathy
- Leukopenia
Counselling Points
- Avoid alcohol during and 1-3 days after treatment
- Monitor for signs of liver injury
- Report any CNS symptoms immediately

- Hepatic impairment caution
- Potential for severe hepatotoxicity
- Risk of CNS toxicity with prolonged use
