Special Populations

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding; crosses placenta.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone
  • Hyperbilirubinaemic neonates
  • Concurrent use with calcium solutions in newborns

  • Diarrhoea
  • Rash
  • Hepatic enzyme increased
