Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to macrolides
- Concomitant use with astemizole, cisapride, pimozide

- Nausea
- Diarrhoea
- Dizziness
- Headache

- Take with food to delay absorption
- Monitor for signs of liver dysfunction
- Avoid alcohol
Serious warnings
- Pseudomembranous colitis
- Colchicine toxicity
