Indication

Control of tachydysrhythmias and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in resistant ventricular fibrillation.

Dosage (summary)

5 mg/kg IV infusion over 20 mins to 2 hours; max 1200 mg/24 hours.

Special Populations

  • Elderly
  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

  • Digoxin
  • Warfarin
  • Sofosbuvir

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to iodine
  • Severe bradycardia
  • Severe respiratory failure
  • Thyroid dysfunction

  • Bradycardia
