Initial dose: 30 mg once daily; max: 90 mg once daily.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

  • Grapefruit juice
  • Rifampicin
  • Macrolide antibiotics
  • Diltiazem

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to nifedipine
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • Aortic stenosis
  • Myocardial infarction
  • Gastrointestinal obstruction

  • Headache
  • Constipation
  • Peripheral edema
  • Dizziness

  • Swallow tablets whole
  • Avoid grapefruit juice
  • Monitor for hypotension
