Adults: 1 g once daily; Children 3 months-12 years: 15 mg/kg twice daily (max 1 g/day).

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to ertapenem
  • Hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics
  • Bacterial meningitis
  • Infants under 3 months
