Indication

Treatment of acute uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections in women and prophylaxis in men.

Dosage (summary)

Women/adolescents: 3 g single dose. Men: 2 doses of 3 g, first 3 hours before surgery, second 24 hours after.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Safety in pregnancy not established; contraindicated in breastfeeding.
