Indication
First line treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma.
Dosage (summary)
1340 microgram once daily for 21 days, followed by a 7-day rest.
Special Populations
- Elderly patients
- Renal impairment
- Hepatic impairment
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Key Drug Interactions
- St. John's wort
- Strong CYP3A4 inducers
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to tivozanib
- Severe hepatic impairment
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Uncontrolled cardiac failure
Common side effects
- Hypertension
- Dysphonia
- Fatigue
- Diarrhoea

- Monitor blood pressure regularly
- Avoid pregnancy during treatment
- Do not breastfeed while on Fotivda
