Indication

Treatment of adult patients with Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and certain leukemias.

Dosage (summary)

75 mg/mu00b2 daily for 7 days, followed by 21 days rest; minimum 6 cycles.

Special Populations

  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment
  • Elderly

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding; effective contraception required.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to azacitidine
  • Malignant hepatic tumors
  • Live vaccines
  • Children under 18

  • Anaemia
  • Thrombocytopenia
  • Neutropenia
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
