Use in pregnancy only if necessary; contraindicated during breastfeeding.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to verapamil
  • Second- and third-degree AV block
  • Acute myocardial infarction
  • Sick sinus syndrome
  • Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction

  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Constipation
  • Bradycardia
  • Hypotension

  • Take regularly before meals
  • Monitor for signs of bradycardia
