Adults: 250 mg twice daily; may increase to 500 mg for severe infections.

  • Renal impairment
  • Hepatic impairment

Safety in pregnancy and lactation not established; excreted in breast milk.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to macrolides
  • Concomitant use with astemizole
  • Porphyria
